Top tips from a Grade 9 student:
-
Learn all the content: there's plenty of information that you need to learn. Use the methods in the how to study section.
-
Do past papers: this way you get used to the format of the paper and can notice that some questions/topics repeat. You can also predict what would be on the exam by checking what topic hasn't been asked before, or as much. Be sure to revise everything though.
-
Write the answers the way the examiners want to get the marks: for example, for 3 markers, we weren't allowed to bullet point our answers, and even if they were correct, we wouldn't get the marks because it needed to be in full sentences. I personally didn't like that aspect of RS but adaptation is an ability that we all have.
-
Practice under timed conditions: you have to think fast & write even faster. Practicing for the exam prepares you for the real thing.
